GORDONSVILLE, Tenn. -- A class-action lawsuit has been filed against the owners and managers of a zinc mine in Gordonsville.
Video: Mine Workers Say Company Violated LawUnder federal and state laws, when a company has a mass layoff, it is supposed to warn its employees 60 days ahead of time. If it doesn't, the company can be required to pay those workers 60 days pay.A group of workers is now suing the company in federal court.Some workers said that had they known a shutdown was coming, they could have saved more money.If the workers win their lawsuit, the company can be forced to pay their attorneys' fees.
