NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Sheriff's Office in Sumner County officially took over the Animal Control shelter Monday. It's the latest action by the sheriff after a Channel 4 I-Team investigation found unethical euthanasia practices. In August, the sheriff's office also brought in inmates to make repairs to the facility, which may eventually be moved from Long Hollow PikeRight now, county leaders said it is too small, and, even with the repairs, it isn't in the best condition for the current population of animals.
