The body was scheduled to arrive in Nashville Sunday night for an autopsy.Cornell's abandoned car was found Thursday morning still running on a street 100 yards from her home. Her purse was still inside her vehicle when police arrived. An area firefighter, Billy Jason Hancock, was arrested Friday night by the Overton County Sheriff's Department and charged with aggravated kidnapping in the case. The remains were a few feet away from Hancock's home.Police said there were no obvious signs of foul play but have been looking for a body."Most of the family has accepted that they've probably found her," said family spokesman Michael South.Family members said that Hancock approached Cornell six months ago, saying he wanted a relationship with her 16-year-old daughter. When he agreed and then refused to take a paternity test, they said a fed-up Cornell got authorities involved, filing a child support suit.A couple of months ago, Cornell proved that Hancock is the father of the teenager, and she began asking him for child support.Authorities again questioned Hancock's wife, Emily, on Monday.Hancock has been married for 15 years. When Cornell disappeared, police brought Hancock in for questioning of Friday, released him, but then charged him later in the day.Cornell lives in the Hilham community and has a husband and two children.Authorities have used air and ground search teams in the investigation. They are looking for a vehicle described as a 1980 Dodge pickup truck with wooden stock racks in the bed.Hancock is being held without bond.Residents are urged to call the Overton County Sheriff's Department at 931-823-5635 if they can help in the case.
