GALLATIN, Tenn. -- According to police, a teenager who stole several laptops and other items from a school threw them all in a lake.

Derek Wright is accused of taking 11 laptops, a DVD player and another piece of electronic equipment from Sumner Academy two weeks ago.

Police said they believe Wright threw the equipment in Old Hickory Lake because too many people were learning about the burglary, and he wouldn't be able to sell the items.

Police also arrested Jeremy Wheeler in connection with the case. Neither of the 18 year olds was ever a student at the school.
