NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Troopers are diverting traffic off Interstate 65 southbound in Sumner County north of Nashville because of a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon.
Rain contributed to the late-afternoon accident, which delayed rush-hour traffic coming into Nashville from the north. Vehicles were diverted to U.S. 31.At least 14 vehicles -- six tractor-trailers and eight cars -- were involved in the crash. Five people were transported to a hospital, but most of the injuries appear to be minor.
Investigators estimate the crash will not be cleared until later Tuesday evening.
