How long would you wait to acquire the car you want? For some the wait can be more than two years.

According to Forbesautos.com, the yet-to-be released Fisker Karma and the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe will be the cars you have to wait the longest to get.

The Karma, a plug-in hybrid sedan, will start delivering cars in the fall of 2009, and even after putting down a $1,000 pre-order deposit, you could wait an estimated 27 months to get the Karma.

The waitlist for the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé nearly doubled from 15 months to an estimated 27 months. Fewer than 200 units of the convertible will be made each year.

The least expensive car on the list is also the one you'll have among the shortest wait time to get a hold of.

The Smart Fortwo, made by Mercedes-Benz's parent company Daimler, will cost between $11,590 and $16,590 and the estimated wait time according to Forbes is nine to 13 months. More than 30,000 potential U.S. buyers put a $99 deposit down in 2007.

The priciest car on the list is the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, at $2 million. The rare sports car offers a removable transparent polycarbonate roof panel and costs $500,000 more that the Bugatti Veyron 16.4. Both cars have an estimate wait of 13 months.
