NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- We hear about identity theft on a regular basis, but a lot of times what's being done about it happens behind closed doors.
Watch This StoryTuesday, 150 law enforcement agents, prosecutors and bank fraud investigators are at the Sommet Center for the Identity Theft and White Collar Crime Conference.They're learning how to detect identity theft early and the different ways to prosecute it.The U.S. Attorney's office said the stealing of people’s credit card numbers is the most common form of identity theft.In the last year, it's brought federal charges against 38 people in more than two dozen identity theft cases locally.
