MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Police have made an arrest in a fatal stabbing that occurred Sunday night at a Murfreesboro motel.

Residents staying at the Regal Inn on South Church Street called police and said they heard screams in one of the rooms.

When police showed up, they found the body of a man who had been stabbed to death.

Police arrested John L. Walker Jr. in the case. They said he and the man who was staying next to him got into a fight that ended in the stabbing.
