NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A jury on Wednesday found a suspect not guilty of charges related to the fatal shooting of a south Nashville clerk in November 2006.
Video: Son Shocked Suspect Acquitted In Father's DeathTimothy Ward, 19, was found not guilty in the death of Ebadollah Ghorbani at the Omid Market.Police had said that Ward and Nasser Muhsin, 16, robbed and killed Ghorbani.
Investigators said that Ward cleaned out the store's register, but Muhsin was the one who pulled the trigger.Ward still has two unrelated cases pending against him involving carrying a weapon on school property and having cocaine in a drug-free school zone.The jury in the case deliberated for about six hours before reaching that verdict. In addition to the murder charge, Ward was also cleared of the robbery.Muhsin was extradited from Canada to Nashville on July 11 and will face criminal homicide charges.
