The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said blood tests have confirmed that Detective Ron Killings was not drinking when he hit and killed a young girl last week in Rutherford County.

Killings was driving an undercover sheriff's car when the crash happened last Thursday in Murfreesboro.

Witnesses said Lakeisha White, 11, ran out in front of his car on Bradyville Pike. She later died at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

White will be buried on Wednesday in her hometown of Hopkinsville, Ky.

Killings, a 12-year veteran of the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department, has been on administrative leave since the incident.
