The building Fred Thompson used for his presidential campaign headquarters will be used by the Church of Scientology.

The church recently purchased the Fall School Business Center located on Eighth Avenue South and will transform it into the church's Celebrity Centre.

The building also housed U.S. Rep. Lamar Alexander's re-election headquarters. A campaign spokesman said Alexander's campaign is looking for other locations in Nashville.

Sen. Bob Corker moved his headquarters to the building in 2006 as part of his successful effort to revive his flagging campaign.

The Church of Scientology has been in Nashville since 1985 and said it has outgrown its current location on Music Row.

The term celebrity in the Church of Scientology can be used for any person who is a leader in his or her profession.
