NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A Nashville taxi driver was killed late Tuesday night near his home.Police said Hassan Osman was shot while going inside his apartment on Lenore Street around 10:30 p.m. in east Nashville.The victim was able to flag down a police officer and rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center but later died.Police do not believe the shooting was motivated by robbery. Osman still had his wallet.
The victim is the second cab driver shot in Nashville in less than 24 hours.Police are investigating the incidents but said they do not think they are connected.Friends of Osman said he recently moved to Nashville a few weeks ago. Reporter Cynthia Williams is working on this story for Channel 4 News at 5 p.m.
