NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Metro officials said the owners of the Music City Motorplex owe $487,000 in back taxes.The owners of the complex said those taxes were never mentioned when they leased the track from the city.A counter claim filed in Davidson County by LJ&J Enterprises, the owners of the Motorplex, asks for any taxes owed be dismissed and charges the county with breaching the lease signed in 2003. The company claims no taxes were mentioned in the document.The counter claim also accuses Metro of improperly assessing taxes for the entire 115-acre site of the Tennessee Fairgrounds against LJ&J.They are asking for the owed taxes to be dismissed and suing Davidson County for breaching their lease.
