NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A talent agency is facing some tough questions from parents who said the company took their money without providing the services they promised.
Video: Agency Shuts Down, Takes Parents' MoneyPacific Acting and Modeling Agency held a information session a couple of weeks ago in Nashville where some local parents bought classes for their kids.Parents said they paid anywhere from $2,000 to $9,000 for the lessons, which were supposed to start this past weekend. However, on Friday, parents who signed up said they received an e-mail from the company that said the business was shutting down and may file for bankruptcy.Pacific Acting and Modeling Agency's Web site is no longer active, and no calls have been returned from concerned parents. One of the parents who signed up for the classes for her child is a former model and said the company acted very professional and didn't do anything out of the ordinary that would have raised suspicion. In the past few days, online bloggers from Seattle to Tampa have been sharing similar stories about the agency. The business is a new company, only forming a couple of months ago.Calls from Channel 4 News to the owners of Pacific Acting and Modeling Agency have yet to be returned.
