NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Metro police officers said they avoided what could have been a dangerous situation on Sunday at a high school graduation ceremony.

Police said a suspicious looking man, who was not a student, was seen walking around Municipal Auditorium downtown.

The man did have a relative who was graduating from McGavock High School.

Police said they confronted him and found that he was carrying a loaded gun and arrested him.

As of Sunday night, it was unclear if the man would face charges.
