NWS: Tornado Hit Lawrence County
Tornado On Ground For About 3 Miles

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in Lawrence County on Thursday afternoon.Loretto City Manager Keith Smith said at least four homes and a few barns were damaged in the southern part of Lawrence County. There were also reports of downed trees and power lines but no injuries.The EF-1 tornado was on the ground for about three miles and stretched about 440 yards across, with winds estimated at 86-110 miles per hour.
The weather service was warning of possible severe weather again on Saturday night, which could include more tornadoes.
