March 1994 -- Police said a woman was attacked on Franklin Road.

No attacks were reported that matched the same method of operation after March 1994 until November 1998.

November 20, 1998 -- A 22-year-old woman said she was raped at her home on Otter Creek Road early on Nov. 20.

December 29, 1998 -- A 36-year-old woman said a man tried to rape her at her Priest Road home.

March 31, 1999 -- Police said a man broke into a Mooreland Estates subdivision home in Brentwood and raped a 16-year-old girl and her 48-year-old mother.

September 9, 1999 -- A 45-year-old woman said a man broke into her Reagan Run home and raped her.

November 2, 1999 -- Police said a man broke into a Brentwood home in the Foxland Hall subdivision and raped a 17-year-old girl.

February, 18, 2000 -- Police said a 29-year-old was reported she was raped in the Hickory Glade Condominiums on Tusculum Road. The accused rapist was in a parking lot where his getaway car was parked. At the time, police said this was at least the rapist’s eighth rape.

June 23, 2000 -- Police announce that the February 18, 2000, attack was likely a serial rapist and label him the "Wooded Rapist."

July 2000 -- DNA officially links the Hickory Glade Condominiums incident to the Wooded Rapist.

September 8, 2000 -- Police issue a warning to the public because between the months of September and March, between the hours of midnight and 7 a.m. is when they said he generally strikes.

February 11, 2001 -- Police issue a warning to the public. Something happened to make them think the Wooded Rapist was attacking women again. A year had passed since the last rape and they feared he would get more violent with the next one.

November 4, 2004 -- A rape was reported in the Meadow Lakes subdivision in Williamson County. A 46-year-old victim said she was watching TV on the couch when it happened. She said she was forced outside and raped with her husband and child inside.

June 28, 2005 -- An attempted rape of a 26-year-old woman is reported on Otter Creek Road.

August 10, 2006 -- An attempted rape was reported on Otter Creek Road in the Forest Hills community. She was not sexually assaulted.

December 27, 2006 -- A woman said she was assaulted at her Otter Creek Road home.

Representatives of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation crime lab said investigators found saliva from an attacker on one of the 2006 victims, which is how they linked the saliva to the Wooded Rapist. There was no actual rape in the 2006 cases, TBI officials said.

2006 -- A Davidson County grand jury handed down a multi-count indictment against someone listed as “John Doe” with a specific DNA profile. The indictment included five counts of rape and several other counts related to assaults and burglaries.

November 19, 2007 -- Police said a 61-year-old woman was raped inside her Fairbrook Drive home.

February 1, 2008 -- Police said a 16-year-old girl was raped outside her home in Mount Juliet. Wilson County police have not filed any charges in the attack, but Metro police said Robert Jason Burdick is a suspect.

May 1, 2008 -- Police arrest 38-year-old Robert Jason Burdick in connection with a series of rapes. Police said they believe Burdick is the Wooded Rapist. Metro authorities received word shortly after 9 a.m. from the TBI Crime Laboratory that Burdick's DNA matched biological samples recovered from many of the crime scenes. Police said they believe he is responsible for at least 13 rapes over the last 15 years.

May 13, 2008 -- Burdick is officially charged with the Dec. 27, 2006, attack at an Otter Creek Road home and the Nov. 19, 2007, attack at a Fairbrook Drive home.
