A Clarksville teenager who was hit by a car and then rescued by a soldier has been released from the hospital.

Joshua Castle, 15, left Vanderbilt Medical Hospital on Tuesday and entered a rehab facility.

A hospital representative said the teen is in stable condition and will finally be able to breathe on without medical devices.

Castle was walking to school when he was hit by a car. Sgt. Major Stephen Blake happened to be passing by and used his field training to make Castle a tourniquet, which doctors said probably saved the boy's life.
