NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- More than a dozen animals that were displaced during last month's tornadoes are still looking for good homes. The Sumner County Humane Society has been looking after the dogs for the past three weeks hoping that their original owners would come around.A few were picked up, but about 15 are still waiting for their families and are now being placed for adoption."We were just a little concerned how long it would take them to come out of their shells and open up, and each and every one of them has come around beautifully. They are friendly, happy, healthy, just really anxious to be with people animals,” said SCHS representative Jeanmarie Koskey. If you're interested in adopting a tornado dog all you have to do is fill out an application. Applications and pictures of all the dogs are available here.
