Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Kristin Helm said the man may have been spotted at a motel in Jackson and left driving on the Highway 45 bypass north out of town early Thursday morning.

Aliyah Battle, 1, Agana Battle, 1, and Cedric Harrington, 3, are missing from Columbus, Ga.

Police believe the children are with Eddie Harrington, 29, a black man, who is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 195 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

The three children are Harrington's girlfriend's kids.

The children were last seen traveling with Harrington in a dark green 2002 Chevy Impala with Indiana license plate number 93-L4740.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol and local agencies in West Tennessee were searching for the car.

Authorities said Harrington left with the children on Wednesday, and they believe they are in danger.

Police believe Harrington might be headed to Tennessee or Indiana.

Those who have information on their whereabouts are urged to call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND or the Columbus, Ga., Police Department at 706-653-3231.
