GALLATIN, Tenn. -- Police said a Gallatin lawyer’s boyfriend and his mother are accused of trying to smuggle drugs into jail.Richard Porter and his mother, Charlene, were arrested last Thursday, police said.Porter is an inmate in the jail, and police said he was in a relationship with Jocelyn Mims, who is an attorney in Gallatin.Officials said Porter's mother gave Mims Xanax and marijuana to take to Porter in jail.Police said they arrested Mims Wednesday after detectives got a tip that Mims was going to pick up a plastic cup along a road and bring the contents to the jail.
