NASHVILLE -- Last month, Chris Caris was killed while he was working at a west Nashville pizzeria.On Saturday, his friends and family got together at a very special place to pay him a fitting tribute.Caris loved the Shute's Branch Recreation Area on Old Hickory Lake, where he often came to fish, write or just enjoy the beautiful view.His memorial service was held there Saturday with those who knew him best telling loving stories of his life and how he touched all of theirs.
Caris was a manager at the Bellacino's on White Bridge Road.On Friday, his accused killers briefly appeared in court, but their case is now going to the grand jury.
