Murfreesboro residents who have a La-Z Boy recliner on their front porch may have to get ready to move it.

The City Council has approved an ordinance prohibiting indoor furniture being kept outside, in yards or on porches.

Officials said residents who violate the measure could be fined up to $50 for violating the law.

Two more votes are needed before the ordinance becomes official.
