MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The auction of philanthropist Bob McLean brought in about $96,000, but it's no where near the amount he owned investors before his suicide.
Video: McClean Auction Brings In $96,000On Saturday, hundreds of people showed up at the Tennessee National Guard Armory in Murfreesboro.Among the items sold were televisions, paintings and highly-priced liquor that once belonged to McLean.
The philanthropist and stock trader is accused of stealing about $40 million from investors and friends.Last month McLean was found dead in his home after committing suicide.
