The auction of philanthropist Bob McLean brought in about $96,000, but it's no where near the amount he owned investors before his suicide.

On Saturday, hundreds of people showed up at the Tennessee National Guard Armory in Murfreesboro.

Among the items sold were televisions, paintings and highly-priced liquor that once belonged to McLean.

The philanthropist and stock trader is accused of stealing about $40 million from investors and friends.

Last month McLean was found dead in his home after committing suicide.
