Mechanical Failure May Have Caused Accident

GORDONSVILLE, Tenn. -- A Smith County man was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville after a mining accident on Tuesday night.The incident happened around 9 p.m. at the Mossy Creek mine in Gordonsville.Authorities are not sure what caused the miner's injuries, but they are believed to be related to a mechanical failure.
