Police Still Searching For Hickman Co. Escapee
Authorities Use Helicopter, K-9 Units To Pursue Escapee

FAIRVIEW, Tenn. -- Police in Williamson County said they are working to capture a prisoner who escaped in Hickman County on Wednesday.Inmate Perry Greene, 48, was serving time for a driving under the influence charge when he somehow slipped away in a Hickman County van.Overnight, authorities were looking in a rural area near Old Cox Pike in Fairview, located on the Williamson-Hickman County line.Police said Greene knocked on one person's door looking for help, but that person refused Greene's requests and called police.
Up to five police agencies have helped in the pursuit. They are using helicopters and K-9 units to look for the escapee.Greene had six months left on his DUI sentence. Authorities said they do not consider him violent.
