Police said an escaped prisoner who walked away from his work-release job at a Bellevue Waffle House is back in custody.

Richard McKeel was found in Memphis and is back in Nashville at the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution. An escape charge will be presented to a grand jury, and he will no longer be eligible for work release.

McKeel was serving a 13-year sentence for aggravated robbery and burglary with four years left on his sentence.

Prior to his escape, he might have been eligible for early release for good behavior.
