A day at the pool became a frightening experience Friday for four Clarksville boys when they said a man held them under water and used racial slurs because they had been splashing water on him.

Police on Tuesday arrested Jackie Ross Jackson after they said he held three boys under water who were ages 10 to 14 years old.

He is charged with three counts of aggravated assault and being held at the Montgomery County Jail on $150,000 bond.

Two lifeguards witnessed the incident, but Jackson left the pool before police arrived.

"It was very traumatizing for all the kids involved," said Najia Stallworth, one of the mother of the victims. "I just want to make sure that this does not repeat."

Stallworth is concerned that there is no sign-in sheet or record of people who come and go at the city pool.

Channel 4 asked the parks department about pool attendance, and they would only say that they are always willing to look into ways of improving safety.

Two of the kids involved are black, one is white and police are still trying to locate to the fourth child.
