NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The idea to set a dog on fire may have come up while a group of children were playing cards. The incident happened over the weekend outside an abandoned home in north Nashville.Prosecutors said five juveniles ranging from 9 to 13 years old poured gasoline on a pit bull mix and set it on fire. The juveniles were in court Thursday.Prosecutors said the idea came up during a card game.A witness testified some of the children held the dog down so it could be lit.The only boy to be ordered into foster care after the hearing is the one child all of the others said tried to stop them. That happened because the boy's mother did not have custody of him.The other four were either released to their families or put into the Juvenile Detention Center.
