COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Putnam County Sheriff's Department conducted on Monday a roundup of illegal immigrants. Inside: Immigration In America A deputy said he stopped a van on Interstate 40 because the driver wasn't wearing a seat belt.When he checked it out, he found 13 illegal immigrants inside, including the driver.A man in the van tried to pass off the people he was with as his family. He told the deputy he was headed to Georgia from Nebraska.As of Thursday, all of the illegal immigrants were in federal custody.
