Franklin Detective Jeffrey Rowe said 21-year-old Juan Cabalos went to the home of a 14-year-old girl Tuesday morning in the Cadet subdivision.

Rowe said the girl let the man crawl in through her bedroom window because the two said they are in love.

Police said they were notified when the girl’s father called them.

“The suspect and the daughter had a relationship. He’s 21, she’s 14, and the father had forbidden the relationship and for them to have any contact with each other,” said Rowe.

“The wife woke them up and said they heard a noise (and) when the father went to check on them, there was a strange man in his daughter’s bed,” Rowe said.

Rowe said the father stood over Cabalos until police arrived. Police said Cabalos lives on Flintlock Avenue near the girl’s home.

Area residents said the incident is troubling.

“There’s a lot of stuff that goes on around here that needs to stop, and this is one thing right here the police really need to put a stop to,” said John Wise.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs agency has been notified about Cabalos. Authorities have put a hold on him, police said, so he will be detained in the Williamson County Jail until the case is over.
