SPRING HILL, Tenn. -- Residents in Spring Hill are being asked to cut back on water.
Video: Maury Co. Residents Asked To Conserve WaterAccording to the Daily Herald, the Maury County Water System has sent letters to its customers asking them to limit unnecessary water use.Filling swimming pools and washing cars were two things from which residents were asked to refrain.
Specifically, they said, they want people to cut back during 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and 9 p.m."Rain we need desperately, but also we don't have storage to service these people adequately,” said Maury County Water System spokesman Larry Chunn.Chunn added that the water system is planning to add new pipes in the area.The Maury County water system buys water from the Columbia Power and Water System.Columbia proper is not under a water restriction.Winchester and Cookeville are also under water restrictions.
