Fourteen suspected illegal immigrants were discovered aboard a van stopped for speeding by the Maury County police on Tuesday.

The Columbia Daily Herald reported that sheriff's deputies busted 14 people Tuesday during a traffic stop near North James Campbell Boulevard.

Authorities believe the van was headed to Michigan, Chicago and Ohio.

The people in the van had a list of places they wanted to go, police said.

They have not been charged with any local crimes.

The suspected illegal immigrants are being held at the Maury County Jail until they can be processed by U.S. Immigration and Customs officials, police said.
