A new school in Sumner County could be named after one of its most famous residents.

One idea that came out of a public meeting was to name the new elementary school in Station Camp, in western Gallatin, after Johnny Cash.

The most popular name in the running is Station Camp Elementary.

The Sumner County Board of Education will make its final vote in April.

The school should be open in time for the 2008 through 2009 school year.
