NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A Hopkinsville woman is so thankful to the man who helped her fight off an alleged attacker, she's going to pay a traffic fine he owes.

Officials said the woman was leaving a grocery store Monday when a man approached her and grabbed her purse.

She said while she was fighting with the man who tried to take her purse, another man who heard her screaming came to help.

He struggled with the alleged attempted robber as well, but managed to grab the man's keys from his car so he couldn't get away.

The woman said she felt bad that her good Samaritan was hurt in the fight so she's paying a traffic fine for him.

Police said Jason Walker has been charged with robbery and assault.
