MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Explosions and a large fire broke out Wednesday in Murfreesboro at a building that houses a tire business, a volunteer fire department and also a hair salon.

People who work at the business said they heard a big explosion in the back of the building, and then suddenly they saw flames. Part of the building burned down with the roof collapsing.

Around 50 firefighters battled the blaze. No one was hurt by the fire or explosion.

Environmental crews were also on the scene because of the toxic combination of oil and tires.

Authorities were still investigating what caused the fire.
