Arthur March now has a new home, a cell at the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Worth, Texas.

The 78-year-old March was transferred Thursday from the Grayson County Detention Center at Leichfield, Kentucky, to the Texas lockup, which was formerly known as the Fort Worth Medical Center.

He had been held there for the past eight months, in addition to some earlier jail time in the Metro Detention Center.

Since March got into trouble, he has traveled from Mexico, to Los Angeles, to Nashville, to Kentucky and now to Texas.

The one-time Nashville pharmacist is serving a 60-month sentence for his role in a murder-for-hire plot.

His projected prison release date is May 15, 2010.

March will be one of 1,700 federal inmates, in addition to a hundred U.S. Marshal jail inmates, at the facility.

A Grayson County jail official says March remains in a serious health condition. That could be the reason he was assigned to the Fort Worth prison.

Fletcher Long, March's attorney, says he is pleased with the Justice Department's assignment of his client.

"Hopefully," Long says, "He will receive the care he needs."

March was officially charged with solicitation to commit a crime of violence by use of Interstate Commerce.

He agreed to cooperate with prosecutors and testify against his son, Perry March at his second degree murder trial.

In return, prosecutors agreed to an 18-month prison term for the elder March.

But Federal Judge Todd Campbell balked and gave him a prison sentence of five years.

Perry March was charged with murdering his wife, Janet Levine March, in 1996.

He was also convicted of theft, conspiracy and solicitation to murder his wife's parents, Carolyn and Larry Levine.

His father gave a detailed video statement that many believed was the crucial evidence that resulted in his son's conviction and 56- year prison sentence.

Arthur March's lawyer has appealed his sentence, but indicates he has not decided if he will continue with it.
