Bob Clement is a product of the Metro Nashville school system and graduated from Hillsboro High School. He also earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Tennessee and his master's degree from the University of Memphis. Clement is also a retired colonel from the Tennessee National Guard. Clement, 63, was elected to serve eight terms in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Family
Clement’s wife, Mary, is also from Nashville. The Clements have four children: Greg, Jeff, Elizabeth and Rachel. Greg Clement and Jeff Clement work in business in Nashville. Rachel Clement is a graduate student at Vanderbilt University. Elizabeth is married and resides in Washington, D.C.
Agenda
Clement said as mayor, he will work to see that police and other law enforcement have the tools they need to combat crime. Clement also says he will work with local, state and the federal government to ensure Nashville is prepared for emergencies.Clement said as mayor, he will continue to provide businesses with the help they need to succeed as well as promote Nashville’s success in the future. He said he will work to make sure Nashvillians have job opportunities and invest in the education and training of Nashville’s workforce.Clement says that he will also work to improve Nashville’s community transportation.
