CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- A Clarksville Army veteran's quick thinking helped save the life of his neighbor's 11-month-old daughter.According to the Leaf-Chronicle newspaper, Joe Mallory decided he would stay home from work Saturday and do some chores around the house.While he was home, his neighbor's little girl accidentally swallowed a piece of gravel while she was sitting near the driveway.Mallory saw what happened and quickly patted Adriona Carpenter's back to dislodge the rock.
Paramedics said the little girl is going to be all right.
