CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Continuing 200 years of educational history is now in the hands of a new president at Austin Peay State University.Timothy Hall assumed the office Wednesday morning in front of a packed concert hall of students and faculty. He comes from the University of Mississippi where he helped raise $85 million for capital projects. He has already been at the school preparing for his new post.
"It seemed important to me that a president's first activities incline more heavily toward listening than to speaking, and so I spent a large part of the last eight months talking with you, taking stock of where we are and paying close attention to each vision of what we might be in the future," said Hall. The new president said he wants to make sure the students continue to be heavily involved in shaping the future of the school.
