New Book Offers Ways To Become Greener
Center For A Better South Makes Recommendations To Government

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- State and local leaders are being called on to make Tennessee more environmentally friendly.
"As the south is growing, we do not change some of the ways we do business. That impact is going to be detrimental to our quality of life," said Andy Brack of the Center for a Better South.The Center for a Better South unveiled a new book Tuesday full of new environmental ideas for Tennessee.The book contains 15 recommendations including creating a global warming leadership agency, adopting renewable energy standards, and requiring new and retrofitted buildings and schools to be built to green building standards.The book also has a dozen ways the public can become greener.
