Plant Accident Injures Lafayette Worker

Victim Taken To Vanderbilt Medical Center

An accident at a middle Tennessee Fleetwood mobile home plant on Tuesday morning critically injured a worker, said the Lafayette Police Department.

Workers were changing a tire on one of the mobile homes at about 11 a.m. when a tire blew up, injuring the man, said police.

The injured worker was alert and talking to others after the accident. He was taken by Life Flight helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. No one else was injured at the Macon County plant.

Fleetwood is currently investigating the incident.
