  • A Green Eyeshade award as well as recognition from professional organizations such as Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Association of Health Care Journalists and several legal organizations.
  • In January 2009, Finley and photojournalist Zina Bauman were awarded an Emmy for their year-long coverage of youth crime in Nashville titled "The Young and the Lawless."
  • In May 2009, the I-Team won the first-ever "Freedom of Information Award" for an investigation that exposed loopholes in gun forfeiture laws for domestic violence defendants.
  • In July 2009, the I-Team's Jeremy Finley received a special award from the Metro Nashville Fire Department connected to an investigation into low-flow hydrants. His report found that hundreds of fire hydrants across the city don't put out enough water needed to fight a fire. In some cases, homes completely burned as a result of this problem.

Although the awards are appreciated, the I-Team gets its greatest satisfaction out of helping viewers, exposing wrong-doing and making positive changes in the lives of middle Tennesseans. Please contact the I-Team with any stories you feel need investigating.
