NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Fireworks displays fizzled out in some cities this year because of the economy.Gallatin is one of them. For the first time in 10 years, the Chamber of Commerce isn't sponsoring the city's July Fourth celebration this year.The higher cost of fireworks was a big factor.Fireworks won't light up the sky in Spring Hill, either. The radio station that had put on the show couldn't raise enough money this year.
