Nashville Area/Davidson County -- Saturday, July 4 -- Music City Independence Day Concert Spectacular at Riverfront Park in Nashville. Visit Music City for the ultimate Fourth of July celebration featuring a huge concert line-up and incredible fireworks display at Nashville's beloved Riverfront Park.

Goodlettsville -- Saturday, July 4 -- Fourth of July Jam at Long Hollow Jamboree, Long Hollow Pike at 2 p.m.; First Annual Fourth of July Jam, featuring the music of A.M.I. recording artist Tresa Street with special guest Freddie Hart. Many other local musicians are scheduled to perform. There will be food, drinks and concessions. A fireworks display is planned when it becomes dark. Montgomery County -- Monday, June 29, to Sunday, July 5 -- Fourth of July Freedom Fest, featuring carnival rides, games of skill, food merchants, a fireworks shows and more. There will be a special concert by the Army Reserve Band at 8 p.m. on July 4, followed by a fireworks show. The Freedom Fest will be held at Fort Campbell Division Parade Field. Bedford County -- Saturday, July 4 -- Independence Day Celebration at the H.V. Griffin Park Complex, hosted by Shelbyville Parks and Recreation. The celebration will be held at 220 Tulip Tree Rd. in Shelbyville. Call 931-684-9780 for more information.

* Opening ceremony begins at 3 p.m., featuring a Red, White & Blue Children’s Parade (each child will receive a flag from Exchange Club of Bedford County), Invocation by Bob Scott, Pastor of Gateway Church, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Exchange Club of Bedford County, National Anthem by Tricia Schmiede
* Disc Golf Tournament at 10 a.m. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 9:30 a.m. (Hole One)
* Senior Luncheon in Rec Center meeting room noon to 2:30 p.m. with gospel singing
* Activities beginning at 3:30 p.m. include:
-Big, inflatable slide for kids and adults sponsored by Shelbyville Lions Club
-Tricycle races
-Face painting
-Horse rides compliments of Renee Meissner
-Watermelon Split, sponsored by Wal-Mart Distribution
-American Stars Talent Revue by Exchange Club of Bedford County
-Batting cages
-Huge Slip 'n' Slide (Slide at your own risk). Must be 5 years or older to participate, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
-Children's games, 4 to 7 p.m.

Performing at the Lions' Club Pavilion 3:30 to 9 p.m. are the American STARS competition and bands Fall Within, Megan & Mandy, Ramiah, Jamison with Jeremy Hendricks DJ for the fireworks show.

*Recreation Center Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Indoor and outdoor pools open 10 a.m. 5 p.m. for special rate of $1 per person (weather permitting)

Maury County -- Maury County Park -- Full day of outdoor events, music, vendors. A fireworks show, with free admission, is scheduled for 9 p.m. The event is sponsored by Maury County and the Maury County Alliance.

Roberston County -- J. Travis Price Park -- Free admission July 4; the gates open at 5 p.m. There will be live entertainment, pony rides, climbing rides, games, prizes, etc.

Dickson County -- Saturday, July 4 -- James Chapel Church of the Nazarene. Starts at about 5 p.m. There will be music, entertainment and fireworks.

Marshall County -- Saturday, July 4 -- Chamber of Commerce July 4 Parade 8 to 10 a.m. in Lewisburg. The parade route will be departing from the Acres at 8:30 a.m. and ending at the Lewisburg Recreation Center Parking Lot. The theme is patriotic, and entries will be taken after May 5. The fireworks for the community are planned to begin at 9 p.m. at the Lewisburg Recreation Center Grounds, for free, following the crowning of Miss Marshall County 2009. It is sponsored by members and individual supporters of the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce.

Sumner County -- Saturday, July 4 -- All American Fourth of July Celebration at Municipal Park in White House. Pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. There will be a tractor show, crafts, food and live entertainment, as well as a patriotic tribute to veterans at 8 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9 p.m. Call 615-672-3937 for more information.

Dekalb County -- Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4 -- Smithville Fiddlers' Jamboree and Crafts Fesitval. Got to www.smithvillejamboree.com for more information.

Rutherford County -- Saturday, July 3 -- The Independence Day Celebration will be held at the Lee Victory Recreation Park in Smyrna. There will be games, music and concessions from 5 to 9 p.m. Contact Smyrna Parks and Recreation at 615-459-9742 ext. 2612

*Celebration Under the Stars
Saturday, July 4, at 5 p.m. at McKnight Park, located at 120 DeJarnette Lane in Murfreesboro. There will be family fun, activities and fireworks to celebrate the nation's birthday. Contact Marlane Sewell of Parks and Recreation at 615-893-2141 for more information.

Williamson County -- Saturday, July 4 -- Franklin on the Fourth will be held 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Main Street & Public Square in downtown Franklin. Admission is free. A hometown celebration for the whole family in historic downtown Franklin will be complete with entertainment, children's activities, a patriotic program, food and crafts. The celebration will be followed by a fireworks finale, kicking off at about 9:30 p.m.

*Friday, July 3: American Flag Retirement at 6 p.m. Anyone with a flag to retire that is torn, stained, or faded may drop them off at Cedars Park Office or Norene General Store. Plan on bringing your lawn chairs for a fun-filled evening at Cedars of Lebanon State Park. The event will be outside behind the Cedars Lodge and is sponsored by Cedars of Lebanon State Park and Friends of Cedars of Lebanon, Inc. at the Cedars of Lebanon State Park. *Saturday, July 4: Watertown 4th of July Celebration. Come out to Watertown to watch its Fourth of July parade, including a squirt gun battle. Fireworks will follow at dusk at Three Forks Park. The parade is scheduled to being at 6 p.m.

*Saturday, July 4: City of Mt Juliet Fourth of July Celebration. Join the city of Mt Juliet as it celebrates the Fourth of July with a spectacular display of fireworks at Providence Marketplace. Contact the city of Mt Juliet at 615-754-2552 for more information.

*Saturday, July 4: City of Lebanon Fourth of July Celebration. Come see the amazing fireworks show put on by the city of Lebanon at the James E Ward Ag Center.
