Nashville Riverfront Concert, Fireworks On July 4
Performers for "Music City July 4 : Let Freedom Sing!" include Phil Vassar, Michael McDonald and the Grammy-winning Nashville Symphony Orchestra (NSO). The national anthem will be performed by the winner of the National Barbershop Quartet Convention, and there will be a special performance by Nashville actor Barry Scott during the show. Downtown festivities will begin at noon with the free Family Fun Zone featuring inflatables for all ages. Pre-show live music will take place from 2 - 5:30 p.m. on the NowPlayingNashville.com stage. The official two-hour concert will kick off at 7 p.m. CST and will conclude with the South's largest fireworks show at approximately 9:25 p.m. All events are free and open to the public.Nashville Shores is offering a special $20 car load rate after 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 3.

The church will hold a choreographed laser and fireworks show, songs about America from the Cornerstone Choir and a balloon drop. The indoor fireworks and laser show runs on the weekend of June 27 through June 29. Friday, June 27, will begin at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 28, will begin at 5 p.m., and Sunday, June 29, at 10 a.m. at Cornerstone Church. Popcorn vendors, drinks and cotton candy being sold down the aisles, T-shirts will be slung out into the crowd. The Dickson County Joint Veterans Organization would like to invite the public to a Fourth of July celebration. The event will begin with an bike ride beginning at the War Memorial Building located at Center Avenue and Walnut Street. The bike ride will start at 3 p.m. At around 5 p.m. at Jason Chapel, located at 2541 Garner Creek Road, a celebration of fireworks, door prizes and food will take place. This is a fundraiser to support the Joint Veterans Organization of Dickson County. A $20 donation per bike is appreciated. Fireworks set to music wil begin at 9:30 p.m. Event include a recognition ceremony for veterans and current servicemen and women. Speakers include veterans from five wars. Games for the kids, food and concessions will be available. Guests are encouraged to park at Fairgrounds Park and ride the Clarksville Transit System (CTS) buses to McGregor Park. Buses will be available beginning at 4:30 p.m. and will be arriving every half hour until the event ends. Both of the parking lots at McGregor Park and the courtesy boat dock and boat ramp will be closed all day July 3, beginning at 7 a.m.Fort Campbell will host its annual Independence Day Celebration beginning at 7 p.m. July 4.

Gate 4 will be open for normal business. Following the show, from 9:15 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., traffic restrictions will be in place. Gates 1, 3 and 5 will be open for outbound traffic only. Festivities will begin at 5 p.m. at the Nolensville Ball Park (Rocky Fork Road at Nolensville Road) and will close with a 20-minute professional fireworks display at dark.
An evening of live music, will begin at 5 p.m. Before the fireworks, the headline act will be "Among the Thirsty," a Christian rock band out of Clearwater, Fla. Other bands to peform will be a Texas-style country band and a bluegrass band. A food court will offer food starting at 5 p.m. Brentwood will hold a fireworks display and concert at 7 p.m. at Crockett Park. The band The Kadillacs are slated to perform. The Franklin Kroger located at 305 Independence Square is having an Independence Day Celebration on July 5.
They are honoring military forces by having a barbecue luncheon to raise funds to send care packages to troops overseas. The event will have entertainment, a giant card signing and various other activities. This Kroger store has adopted two military units, an Army and Air Force unit consisting of 60 soldiers per unit. The store's goal is to collect enough items for 120 care packages and 500 letters of encouragement. Wilson County
Lebanon invites residents to its Fourth of July celebration at the James E. Ward Agricultural and Community Center on Friday, July 4.
