Help Those Affected By The Heat

The Nashville Rescue Mission has an air conditioned day room that is open to anyone who needs a break from the high temperatures. Mission workers are also patrolling the streets offering water to homeless and any one who may need it.

The Rescue Mission needs the public’s help to keep their supply ready for the rest of the summer ahead.

If you would like to help the Nashville Rescue Mission, contact their donation center at 255-2475, stop by their 7th Avenue South location or visit their web site

DONATE A FAN

If you would like to donate any amount to the Metro Action Commission's Fan and Cooling program, call them at 862-8860, Extension 122.

SURVEY: How do you cope with hot weather?

The Metro Action Commission says this program is funded primarily by community donations, and this year they are running short.

Summer Heat Wave Hits Tennessee
