Vanderbilt Opens $170M Critical Care Tower

Tower Is Hospital's Biggest-Ever Addition

Doctors and nurses at Vanderbilt Medical Center now have a new place to care for patients.

The hospital opened its new, 11-story Critical Care Tower Friday.

The $170 million project was under construction for three years.

The tower is the biggest addition at Vanderbilt since the hospital opened in 1980. It features 141 patient rooms and 12 operating rooms.
