NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The talk over health care reform took on a new approach Monday in Nashville, with a focus on transforming the current method into a more personalized health care system. The Center For Health Transformation was founded by former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.Gingrich used Nashville as an example of how the very best minds in the health care industry could exist in a city and state with one of the poorest records for health and well-being.He believes the key to changing that is to develop a system that is specific to the needs of the area."As a longtime observer of the federal government, this will not be done at a federal level," said Gingrich. "It's not possible. Our bureaucratic capabilities are too limited. Our ability to manage from Washington is too small. Our range of knowledge of local communities is too weak, and the fact is what you've got to do is find ways for local communities to come together."The Center For Health Transformation was founded in 2003 and works to create solutions and polices for affordable health care.
