CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Jalen Stacker, 14, has been taking a generic version of the drug Adderall for about four years. He said it helps him stay focused. About 10 days ago, however, he got sick. Now, his mother thinks a drug overdose might be the cause.

"I kept feeling, like, dizzy," Jalen said. "My stomach started aching, like I wanted to throw up.""His eyes were jumping. His heart was racing. (He was) very sweaty," said Jalen's mom, Kala Brown. "We could not keep him awake."Jalen had filled his generic Adderall prescription three days earlier. When the pharmacist called to say the drug was being recalled, it suddenly made sense."(The pharmacists) were calling it the 'super pill' and (said) that it had a lot more medicine in it than it should," said Brown. The recalled generic Adderall pills, which may be super-potent, are 20 milligram tablets with B/973 stamped on one side and 2/0 on the other side. The suspect lot is number 311756, but that number isn't listed on the prescription bottle."There's no way to tell, because, I mean, they look exactly the same," Brown said.A Kroger pharmacy in Clarksville, Tenn., filled Jalen's prescription. The pharmacist told Channel 4 the store has filled 10 or 12 prescriptions for the recalled medication. He said the staff has been calling all of the families, but they haven't been able to reach everyone yet. They are also sending registered letters. It's unknown how many of the pills have been distributed throughout Tennessee.Symptoms of an Adderall overdose include headache, tremor, dizziness, blurred vision, restlessness, sweating, euphoria and agitation.Anyone who had a prescription of generic Adderall filled after June 11 should take it back to the pharmacy from which it came.Adderall is also prescribed for narcolepsy and weight loss.Copyright 2009 by WSMV.com.
